Anindita Paul

Profile

Dr. Anindita Paul is an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering and Sciences. She holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in low-power analog integrated circuit design. Dr. Paul is a senior member of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society and a member of the ATMAE board of certification. She has authored over 20 research articles published in various IEEE journals, IEEE-sponsored international conferences, and other reputable journals.

In 2024, Dr. Paul received the Kentucky Commercialization Venture (KCV) Impact Award and was awarded several research grants from her institution's research and grants office. Dr. Paul is a peer reviewer for different journals and international conferences and is an Associate Editor for the Special Issue titled "Low Power Integrated Circuit Design and Application" in the Journal of Applied Science by MDPI. Her research interests include low-power analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design for battery-operated portable electronic appliances, energy harvesting, biomedical applications, Internet of Things applications, and designing low-power sensor circuits. She received the Graduate Assistant Award for Academic and Research Achievement from the College of Engineering at NMSU in 2019.

Her professional experience includes lecturing at several engineering colleges in India, interning as an analog integrated circuit designer in the semiconductor industry, and serving as an assistant professor at Manhattan College, Youngstown State University, and Oregon Institute of Technology.

Dr. Paul teaches a variety of subjects, including CMOS Analog VLSI Circuit Design, Digital VLSI Circuit Design, Microcontroller System Design, Circuit Analysis, Signals and Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Solid-State Electronic Devices, Microelectronic Circuit Design, Analog and Digital Electronics, Analog and Digital Communications, Wireless Communications, and RF/Microwave Systems and Antennas.

Regarding her teaching philosophy, Dr. Paul enjoys solving complex technological problems with her students. She believes that teaching allows her to be creative and that her innovative approach to education enables her to gain new knowledge daily, which she finds particularly rewarding. She hopes students will develop critical thinking skills through her teaching to address engineering problems effectively while adhering to strong ethical standards. She emphasizes, "It is expected that they would apply their engineering knowledge for the betterment of humanity without negatively impacting the environment."
