Profile

Dr. Neal Wilkinson-Adams is an assistant professor in the Department of Engineering Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, specializing in human-centered Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management. Dr. Wilkinson’s research focuses on the formalization of the systems engineering foundational language and development of systems engineering tools in practical, educational, and academic contexts to assist with the integration of information in engineering education, the development of effective and elegant engineered systems, and the understanding of how integration and connection apply to multi-disciplinary ‘wicked’ problems in today’s world.

Dr. Wilkinson is a member of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers and the American Society for Engineering Management and is a regular presenter at their conferences. He is the track chair for the Leadership and Organizational Management track of the ASEM International Annual Conference and a peer reviewer for numerous journals and conferences. Dr. Wilkinson teaches many subjects, including Engineering Economics, Quality and Reliability Engineering, Design of Experiments, and various Systems Engineering topics, and serves as a member of the Doctor of Engineering admissions committee.
