Early College Faculty Information

Thank you for participating in our Early College program. Below you will find some helpful links to help enhance your experience teaching your course.

2014 Summer Training Registration

Summer Training Registration Form

 The Early College Summer Training will take place on June 25th, 2014 on the Morehead State University campus.  During the summer training Early College faculty will meet their Morehead State mentor, as well as receive information regarding textbooks, syllabi, and general education assessment.  The afternoon sessions will cover Blackboard, Faculty 180, FERPA, and FERPA training.  Please submit your registration form by May 30th, 2014.

New Faculty Forms and Training

  1. Complete FERPA training
  2. Complete  and submit the FERPA form to our Information Technology department
  3. Activate your MyMoreheadState account at https://secureweb.moreheadstate.edu/eac/ 
  4. Familiarize yourself with the MyMoreheadstate Portal, where you will find your roster and submit midterm and final grades.

 Early College Mentor Information


The Early College faculty mentor is a Morehead State University faculty member assigned to collaborate and communicate with Early College faculty teaching at our partner high schools. The mentoring position is designed to improve communication between the high schools and the academic departments, to ensure academic rigor, course quality, and to represent and promote the University. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Visit the high school classroom at least once per semester
• Participate in the summer training workshop for MSU mentors and MSU Early College faculty
• Provide an orientation to the curriculum, teaching materials and general education assessment requirements (if applicable) for each course taught by Early College faculty
• Serve as a departmental liaison that addresses common academic processes
• Provide feedback that will assist in assessing and improving the Early College mentoring program
• Adhere to government guidelines and policies
• Perform other job related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
