Transfer Student Luncheon slated for Jan. 21

Students interested in transferring to Morehead State University are encouraged to attend the Transfer Student Luncheon being held in conjunction with MSU’s spring 2017 Open House on Saturday, Jan. 21.

The luncheon, to be held at Third Street Eats will begin at noon and will allow students to meet with transfer admission staff to learn about online degree completer programs, transfer scholarships, and more. Students may complete an admission/scholarship application for free and will receive MSU merchandise. Lunch will be provided as well as the opportunity to meet with other transfer students.

At 1 p.m., students will be escorted to the larger Open House program where they may take a campus tour, meet with faculty in their desired academic department, learn about financial aid and housing, and learn why Morehead State has been named one of the best regional universities in the south by U.S. News and World Report.

“This is a great opportunity for someone considering transferring to MSU to learn about admissions, course equivalencies, and transfer scholarships. This event not only provides them with the steps they need to take to get enrolled, but it also provides an opportunity for them to speak with other students who are going through the same thing,” said Jen Timmermann, director of transition services.

“This program is designed to address the unique concerns and questions transfer students may have. We want to provide a fun and comfortable atmosphere to allow them to get all of the information they need to make a seamless transition to MSU.”

To attend, students may register for Open House at www.moreheadstate.edu/openhouse.
