Video Vault Kentucky Edition to air on KETKY

Jeffrey Hill, professor of mass communication, will have the fifth season of his series Video Vault Kentucky Edition on KETKY. Season 5 will run through April 16.

The program screens classic Hollywood films and early television shows. The films all have a Kentucky connection, such as a writer, actor, or director from Kentucky. The program was produced by Hill, who hosts the program and discusses key features of each film and its Kentucky connection.

Additional crew includes current students, recent graduates and MSU faculty. Crew positions were held by Convergent Media (CVM) major Whitney Dunn, Vicco junior; Pamela Shay Hammond, Morehead CVM graduate; Ryan Edward Padgett, Morehead CVM graduate; Communication faculty member Chris Merritt of Salyersville; and Dr. Kathryn Carlson, professor of English, of Arcata, California.

“The fact that KET is broadcasting this series in primetime and has broadcast it in primetime since season 3 shows the importance of the moving image and its place as a truly American art form and its significance to the viewers of Kentucky,” said Hill.

More information on all films and programs may be attained by visiting the KET website or contacting Hill at 606-783-9383 or email j.hill@moreheadstate.edu
