SBDC to host ‘Small Town Merchant Program’
Morehead State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host the “Small Town Merchant Program,” Tuesday, May 23.
The program will start at 10 a.m. at the Innovation Launchpad, 149 E. Main St.
Retail and restaurant businesses are encouraged to join National Retail Specialist Marc Wilson to learn how their small business can grow and prosper.
“We are so excited to bring this program to the state,” said KSBDC State Director Becky Naugle. “Through this program we will be able to assist retailers and restaurant owners in rural communities and help them to build better businesses and, in turn, better local economies.”
Following the STMP kickoff, MSU SBDC Director Mark Murphy will meet with attendees and other interested retailers and restaurants to offer additional business audits and continuing assistance in further refining their businesses.
The workshop is free for all participants, however, seating is limited and advance registration is required.
Training programs, sponsored or co-sponsored by SBDC, are available to all individuals without regard to race, color, sex, creed or national origin. Special arrangements will be made for those with disabilities if requested in advance.
