A look back: 'A Day in the Country’

Morehead State University’s Kentucky Folk Art Center “A Day in the Country 2017” was held Saturday, June 3, at the Morehead Conference Center.

The event brought more than 50 self-taught artists from more than 10 states together to display and offer their work for sale. Visitors to the show experienced wood carvings, stone carvings, painting, and more. 

This year featured exhibition is “Bruce New: The Night Is Only a Dream” which presents more than 60 works by the Somerset artist.

MSU chief photographer Tim Holbrook shares some of the scenes from the events and has put them in a photo gallery. 

Kentucky Folk Art Center is a cultural, educational and economic development service of MSU. The center is open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
