Frizzell receives the Byrd H. Perry Jr. Memorial Scholarship

The Morehead State University Foundation has announced that Hayley Brooke Frizzell of Salt Lick is the recipient of the Byrd H. Perry Jr. Memorial Scholarship.

A Bath County High School graduate, she is the daughter of Brent and Patty Frizzell.

She plans to pursue a nursing degree at MSU with the goal of working at a pediatric hospital. She says she is very grateful for the scholarship.

“This scholarship will allow me to pursue a degree in nursing, which I have dreamed of doing since I was in elementary school,” wrote Frizzell

Frizzell was treasurer of her senior class and a member of the honor roll at BCHS all four years. She volunteers at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling and was a member of the FCCLA and Beta Club.

The recipient of the award must be an incoming freshmen student, who is a resident of Bath County and must have strong participation in community service.
