Retirees Association to attend Tuesdays with Morrie

The play is the thing for Morehead State University’s Retirees Association this month. Members, including all retired faculty, staff and friends, will attend the Sunday, Aug. 20, matinee performance of “Tuesdays with Morrie” by the Morehead Theatre Guild at the Rowan County Arts Center.

Members will meet at 12:30 p.m. for a Dutch treat lunch at La Finca’s with the show to follow at 2 p.m.

Other upcoming events include a trip to the Appalachian Artisan Center in Hindman, in August; a meet and greet brunch prior to the Memorial Brick Ceremony as part of the Homecoming Weekend events in October; Churchill Downs races in November and a five-day, four-night motor coach trip to Philadelphia, Gettysburg and the Amish Country of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in early November.
