Career Services hosts first Health Care Job Fair
Morehead State University held its first Health Care Job Fair with 25 organizations, which included employers and graduate schools, on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Morehead State University’s Career Services and the Department of Nursing partnered to host the event.
Around 200 students networked with employers and graduate programs with the hope of landing an interview for graduate school or an internship, part-time or full-time position.
“The event exceeded my expectations in bringing health care related organizations together with students,” said Dr. Lynn Parsons, department chair of nursing.
“The Health Care Job Fair is a great way for students to interact with employers and get a look at what jobs are going to be available after graduation,” said Carlie Sawyer, career services event planning intern. Attending this event provides information for students about application processes and credentials needed to qualify for various positions in the field.”
The next Health Care Job Fair will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018.
