MSU hosts Holiday Carnival
Morehead State welcomed the community to a night of family-friendly fun for a holiday carnival and the annual campus holiday lights ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan and his family, along with several student organizations, attended the ceremony, where Morgan threw the switch to turn on the campus' holiday lights. The lighting ceremony had previously been held on the lawn of Fields Hall, but was relocated to the Laughlin Gymnasium due to the ADUC renovation project.
In addition to the tree lighting, there were several activities at the carnival, including life-sized board games, children's activities and holiday music. In addition, children had the chance to visit with Santa and have their pictures taken, and hot cocoa and cookies were served. MSU First Lady Amber Morgan read the children the holiday classic, "The Night Before Christmas."
