Eagle alum named WDKY general manager

Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. has promoted Morehead State University alumnus Jennifer Rieffer (94) to general manager for WDKY (FOX) in Lexington. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, EVP and chief operating officer, of Sinclair’s television group.

“We are pleased to promote Jennifer to General Manager of WDKY. She has been part of the Sinclair team for over 20 years and started her television broadcast career at this very station. We believe that her long history at the station and deep connection with the community, advertisers and viewers make her a natural fit to head WDKY,” said Marks.

Rieffer has served as local sales manager at WDKY since 2013. Prior to that, she was an account executive at the same station since 1998. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MSU.

“I am very honored to be leading WDKY-TV here in the Lexington community,” commented Rieffer. “I started with this station in 1995; it’s my family and my home. It’s a very exciting time not only to be with WDKY, but with Sinclair.”
