Senior art exhibition opens April 4
The main gallery of Morehead State University's Claypool-Young Art Building will present “Endgame: 2018 Annual MSU Senior Juried Art and Design Exhibition,” April 4-13.
The annual show is an opportunity for MSU Department of Art and Design B.A. and B.F.A. students to exhibit as emerging artists in a professional setting. The exhibition opens with a reception featuring live music by The Woodsheep and complimentary refreshments on Wednesday, April 4, from 5-7 p.m., where awards including Best in Show, first, second, and third will be announced at 6 p.m.
The 18 participating artists include: Kassi Brewer, Morehead; Dallas Braden Banks, Pewee Valley; Kaitlyn Campbell, Prestonsburg; Preston Carpenter, Wittensville; Brittany S. Centers, Pikeville; Meghan Courtney, Florence; Trey Davis, Maysville; Dylan Evans, West Liberty.
Sarah Farmer, Morehead; Maggie Flanagan, Edgewood; Alyssa M. Johnson, Big Creek; Sarah Lunsford, Morehead; Simon Maness, Louisville; Haley Mullins, Salyersville; Jerica Overall, Georgetown; Sean Porter, Morehead; Dustin J. Saunders, Mt. Sterling and Elizabeth Watkins, Hueysville.
The gallery in Claypool-Young features contemporary art for the MSU community as well as the University’s service region.
The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment and is free and open to the public. Parking is available on Main Street and across campus after 5 p.m.
