MSU rated in ‘Most Affordable Online Colleges’ for Ed.D. programs

SR Education Group has announced that Morehead State University is ranked in the 2018 Most Affordable Online Colleges for a Doctoral Degree in Education. MSU’s Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) is designed to meet the distinctive needs of practitioner-leaders by addressing the call put forth by the Southern Regional Education Board and others to ensure that there are quality leaders in every school, from preschool to higher education.
MSU offers three specializations:

• Doctor of Education - Specialization in P-12 Administrative Leadership
• Doctor of Education - Specialization in Educational Technology Leadership
• Doctor of Education - Specialization in Adult and Higher Education Leadership

The P-12 administrative leadership track provides opportunities for P-12 educators to remain on the job and be involved in rigorous leadership training while conducting research designed to bring about improved student achievement in their schools. The second track of educational technology leadership is designed for the educational leader to provide leadership and support of colleagues through instructional design, curriculum development and educational technology implementation and integration. The third track of adult and higher education leadership is designed for highly competent educational leaders who want to develop the capacity of individuals' to plan, organize and carry through a variety of education and service programs to meet adult learners' needs in postsecondary and adult continuing education settings.

SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher founded in 2004, just launched a major update to GuidetoOnlineSchools.com and OnlineU.org: 132 separate ranking lists categorized by program and degree level. This marks the organization’s largest launch to date.

A total of 610 unique online colleges were ranked on the 2018 Most Affordable Online Colleges and 2018 Best Online Colleges ranking reports. The methodology employed for this launch includes degree-specific tuition rates that are manually researched by SR Education Group, as well as data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

The ranking represents online schools across the nation that are making an effort to provide economical options for students. The group manually researched the tuition of every college offering fully online degrees to determine and rank the most affordable choices.
