Board of Regents to hold special meeting May 10

The Morehead State University Board of Regents will hold a special called meeting and work session on Thursday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at the Center for Health, Education and Research (CHER).

During the meeting, the board will recognize students and employees, approve phased retirement contracts and hold a closed session to discuss property acquisition and sale. In addition, the board will hold a work session to hear reports from the Health Care Task Force and the Facilities Task Force.

Before the board meeting, the audit committee will meet at 9 a.m. at the CHER building.

The purpose of the audit committee meeting is to approve the appointment of an auditing firm, approve the scope of the audit for fiscal year ending June 30, 2018, and hear a report on the status of internal audits.

The University is required to undergo an annual financial audit to meet local, state and federal requirements.
