Board of Regents to meet Aug. 9
Morehead State University’s Board of Regents will welcome new members and elect officers at a special called meeting to be held Thursday, Aug. 9, at 9 a.m. in the DeMoss Suite of the Center for Health, Education and Research (CHER).
New board members Brandon Bryer, Craig Dennis and Sanford Holbrook will be administered the oath of office at the meeting. The Regents will elect a vice chair and secretary and appoint a treasurer. The board will also vote on the authorization to modify an existing lease agreement.
After the special called meeting is adjourned, the board will hold a work session to discuss several issues. No action can be taken during a work session. In addition to recognizing members of the faculty and staff, the board will hear presentations on the University’s goals for 2018-19 academic year, an overview of the new capital campaign, and an update on the status of the Kentucky Folk Art Center.
Following the work session, there will be a new member orientation for Bryer, Dennis and Holbrook.
