Craft Academy welcomes Class of 2020

The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics welcomed the Class of 2020 to Morehead State University's campus on Sunday, Aug. 5.

Incoming Craft Academy students moved into Grote-Thompson Hall on Sunday morning, and an induction ceremony was held at 1p.m. in Button Auditorium to usher in the new students. Craft Academy Director Dr. Carol Christian and MSU President Dr. Joseph (Jay) Morgan gave brief remarks, students were inducted into the Class of 2020 and each received a pin and a certificate.

The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics is a dual-credit residential high school for academically exceptional Kentucky students. The academic rigor of the academy challenges students to excel at their highest level through project-based STEM+X courses and hands-on learning experiences with emphasis on innovation, design and creativity, and civic and regional engagement.

Returning Craft Academy students will move in Aug. 10-12. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 13.
