MSPR debuts new programming

Morehead State Public Radio has debuted Open Mic, a half-hour talk show at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. every Friday. During the show, host Leeann Akers will visit with newsmakers, artists, authors, politicians and public servants and discuss the issues that are critical to our region.

MSPR’s mission is to provide regional programming that is educational, informative and entertaining. MSPR offers regional news, public affairs and documentary programming as well as a variety of regional music programs. 

Since 1965, WMKY has served communities in more than 20 counties throughout Eastern Kentucky, Southern Ohio and Western West Virginia.
