CAHS offers certification classes to public

Beginning Oct. 1, Morehead State’s Digital Media Learning Center will offer a wide selection of software certification exams to the general public. 

The certification programs will include training, tutorials, practice exams, exam overviews and study guides to help students prepare for certification. Adobe Certified instructors will help those taking certification courses determine how much preparation they need, based on their level of experience with the program in which they wish to be certified. 

The following certifications will be offered:
  • Adobe – Adobe Certified Associate (ACA)   
  • Adobe – Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)  
  • Microsoft – Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  
  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)  
  • Autodesk – Autodesk Certified User (ACU) for AutoCAD  
  • Autodesk – Autodesk Certified User (ACU) for Maya   
  • Autodesk – Autodesk Certified User (ACU) for 3dsMax  
  • Autodesk – Autodesk Certified User (ACU) for Revit  
  • Apple – Apple Swift (coding)  
  • Intuit QuickBooks – QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU)     
“In today’s extremely competitive job market having a certification (in addition to your degree) will help your resume stand out,” said Tony Glover, coordinator of the certification program. “It is a proven fact that digital media and technology certifications help hiring professionals choose whom to interview and increases your chance to land the job.”     The cost of Adobe certification is $50. Other certifications are priced on a sliding scale based on the number of times a participant wants to be able to re-take the test.
