Education Abroad Fair set for Sept. 19

Students who are interested in traveling while attending college are encouraged to attend the Education Abroad Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in front of the Camden-Carroll Library.

At the fair, students can talk to faculty who are teaching in Education Abroad programs and students who have participated in the program in the past. They can also learn about financial aid options for funding education abroad, explore international internship opportunities through the Office of Career Services and ask questions to a representative from the Kentucky Institute for International Studies.

“The fair will be a one-shop-stop for everything education abroad,” said Kelly Collinsworth, director of the Education Abroad program. “Students can obtain information about their options so that they can plan their time at MSU so that education abroad can be incorporated into their experience.”

"I think the international experience is so beneficial. Coming back here, it just made me want to start traveling and experiencing more and continue to step outside of my comfort zone," said Madison Wallace, a Strategic Communication major from Frankfort. She completed an eight-week internship at The Works PR in Dublin, Ireland.
