MSU welcomes future Eagles at Fall 2018 Open House
Morehead State University has opened plenty of doors to opportunities for Eagles through its excellent academic programs and resources geared toward student success. This fall, future Eagles will get a glimpse of what the authentic MSU experience is like through MSU Open House events.
MSU’s Office of Enrollment Services will host Open House programs on Saturday, Oct. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 3, in Button Auditorium on Morehead campus.
The Oct. 6 event will begin at 9 a.m. Participants will receive free tickets to watch Eagle football square off against San Diego at noon at Jayne Stadium. The Open House on Nov. 3 will start at 1 p.m.
At MSU Open House, University representatives will be available to meet students and their families, answer questions, take campus tours and share information concerning college life. These events are an excellent opportunity for future students and their families to discover why MSU has been named one of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S.News and World Report for the past 15 years, and was recently named one of the best universities in Kentucky and one of the most affordable in the nation by College Consensus.
MSU also is home to one of five space science programs in the country, a nationally-ranked Recreation and Wellness Center and produces graduates accepted into professional schools – including medical, dental and pharmacy programs – at rates well above state and national averages.
“Families will hear success stories about our graduates and statistics that demonstrate the academic quality and personal attention offered at MSU,” said Holly Pollock, director of undergraduate admissions. “Our goal is to make it convenient to get answers to questions about starting college by bringing deans, department chairs and faculty from our academic programs – as well as staff from admissions, financial aid, housing and many more services – together in one place.”
Application fees for high school seniors will be waived for those in attendance. Transcript and test scores must be turned in at the event to qualify for the fee waiver.
Students and families are encouraged to register for the Open House. To learn more about this event or to register online, visit www.moreheadstate.edu/openhouse.
