MSU announces candidates for 2018 Homecoming Court
Every October, Eagles from far and wide return to their beloved alma mater to reconnect and rekindle their school spirit for MSU’s Homecoming Weekend. With this annual tradition comes the chance for alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of the University to witness the crowning of this year’s MSU Homecoming Queen and King.
The ceremony takes place at halftime during the Homecoming football match-up between MSU and Valparaiso, which begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Jayne Stadium.
The following students will be a part of the 2018 Homecoming Court:
Queen Candidates:
Sydnee Bradley is a senior business management major from Louisville. Her parents are Ramona Pitts and Maurice Bradley. She is sponsored by Student Alumni Ambassadors.
Tessa Collins is a junior history major from Morehead. Her parents are Mica and Alan Collins. She is sponsored by Kappa Delta Sorority.
Bethany Pace is a senior fine arts major from Morehead. Her parents are Lora and Joel Pace. She is sponsored by Morehead State Percussion Club.
Bailee Pennington is a senior double-major in accounting and finance from Morehead. Her parents are Jenny and Lee Pennington. She is sponsored by Delta Gamma Sorority.
Rylee Stafford is a senior strategic communications major from Mt. Sterling. Her parents are Belinda and Kevin Stafford. She is sponsored by Chi Omega Sorority.
King Candidates:
Nick Anderson is a sophomore double-major in political science and legal studies from Morehead. His parents are Julie and Kevin Anderson. He is sponsored by Student Alumni Ambassadors.
Waco Bays is a junior biology major from Pikeville. His parents are Marsha Bays and Waco Bays III. He is sponsored by Chi Omega Sorority.
Cameron Faudere is a junior strategic communications major from Owingsville. His parents are Claudette and Steve Faudere. He is sponsored by Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

Peyton Pugh is a senior biomedical sciences major from Bowen’s Creek. His parents are Andrea and Damian Pugh. He is sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

Students may vote for Queen and King on Oct. 15 and 16. Voting is online and students should check their MSU email for a ballot. They will cast one vote for Queen and one for King. Voting will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 15 and will end at 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 16. Students who do not receive a ballot should contact Shannon Colvin, at 606-783-2886 or s.colvin@moreheadstate.edu.
