Newton Award for Distinguished Service” at the 2018 NACAS Annual Conference in Orlando.

Redwine, assistant vice president for auxiliary services at Morehead State University, has served as president at both the regional level with NACAS South and national level with NACAS. He currently serves on the NACAS Foundation Board of Directors.

Redwine has been with MSU for 37 years has an accomplished record on campus and throughout the state. He founded and continues to champion the Kentucky Auxiliary Services Association (KASA). According to a press release from NACAS Redwine has impacted NACAS in fundamental ways through his leadership of the NACAS board and his leadership of the Organizational Structure Review Task Force that led to the finalization of Regional Affiliation Agreements. NACAS South has grown exponentially in recent years - building on the solid foundation that Redwine provided during his years on the South Board.

"This association has meant a tremendous amount to me. We've seen a lot of things grow,” Redwine said while accepting the award. “We've developed friendships. We've laughed together, we've celebrated together, we've cried together. And, like here, celebrated again. To be recognized by your peers at this level, with this type of award, is both thrilling and humbling. I look back at individuals who have mentored me through the years, people like Charlie Figari, Frank Mumford, Ken Ramey, Jim Morgan, and Jim Hudson. It's incredible.”

The Robert F. Newton Award for Distinguished Service is the most prestigious award given by NACAS, recognizing an individual who has displayed extraordinary and outstanding service to NACAS and to the profession.
