Registration open for STEM camp for girls

The camp features a day of workshops, presented by local women who work in STEM fields, that will give participants a chance to learn through activities that employ principles of science, engineering and mathematics.
The camp is open to all girls in grades 4-12 in Kentucky and is a collaborative effort between the Craft Academy and the Girl Scouts of Kentucky Wilderness Road Council. Girls do not have to be in Girl Scouts to participate in the camp.
Registration for the camp closes on Saturday, Oct. 20. The cost of the one-day camp is $10 for Girl Scouts, $15 for non-Girl Scouts and $5 for adults. Chaperones may attend the workshops for free. Participants must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone. One chaperone for every six participants is required.
