MPATE Day 2018 is Wednesday, Nov. 7

Morehead State’s Department of Mathematics and Physics will host its 25th annual Mathematics, Physics and Advanced Technology Exploration (MPATE) Day on Wednesday, Nov. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event is a showcase of mathematics, computer science, physics and engineering technology for high school students. The event will be held at locations across campus. The event will begin with registration and a continental breakfast that will be served in the Button Drill Room. Students who attend will work in teams with peers from other schools to complete STEM-related exploration activities. Prizes will be awarded to the highest-scoring teams and teachers will be invited to observe and discuss the explorations with activity leaders.

Registration for MPATE Day 2018 is now closed, but arrangements can be made for groups that wish to attend. Call 606-783-2930 to make arrangements. Cost is $6 per student which covers continental breakfast and a light lunch. Checks should be made payable to "Morehead State University Math Department" and should be sent to:
