MSU faculty and staff compete in Suit Bank Showdown
Morehead State University’s Office of Career Services helps Eagle students and alumni get a leg up in the job market by offering everything from resume guidance to mock job interviews to career counseling. For one of the office’s services, MSU faculty and staff across campus took part in a friendly competition to make sure Eagles could suit up.
Career Services organized the Suit Bank Showdown, a friendly competition where teams of faculty and staff compete to see who can contribute the most business professional clothing to the Suit Bank. The Suit Bank provides business apparel to students and alumni at no charge and is maintained by the Office of Career Services. The Graduate School is the winner of the 2018 Suit Bank Showdown.
Clothes from the bank are used for interviews, networking events, internships, presentations and conferences. Interim Director of Career Services Megan Boone was grateful for the donated items and knows they will go a long way to helping Eagles put their best foot forward in their career endeavors.
“Having access to free professional clothing ensures that MSU students and alumni are able to look their best and make a positive impression as they enter the professional world,” she said.
Donations are welcome at any time and can be dropped off at the Office of Career Services, located on the ground floor of the Camden-Carroll Library. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations to the Suit Bank are tax deductible.
