Spring Career Fair held March 5 at Morehead State

Employers and graduate programs from across the region were able to connect professionally with Morehead State University students and alumni when MSU held its annual Spring Career Fair on March 5.

With a total of 95 organizations attending, there was representation from a variety of industries. Approximately 325 students and alumni attended to network with employers and graduate programs in hopes of landing an interview for an internship, part-time or full-time position.

The career fair took place at the newly renovated and expanded Adron Doran University Center (ADUC). MSU’s Office of Career Services, which hosted the event, offered several services to enhance attendees experience. These included the Career Fair Plus app, which helped in navigating the event, and a station to get free professional headshots to be used on LinkedIn and other social media networks.

Megan Boone, interim director of the Office of Career Services, said the setting provided a perfect environment for Eagles to have positive career interactions.

“We were excited to host the career fair in the newly renovated Adron Doran University Center,” Boone said. “The career fair is an amazing opportunity for students and alumni to connect with organizations from a variety of disciplines about internships, jobs and graduate school admissions. I heard many good conversations occurring at the event.”

The next MSU career fair will be the Fall Career Fair, which will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1. MSU’s Office of Career Services also offers several additional workshops and events to give students more helpful tools, knowledge and opportunities.
