MSUPD swears in returning officer
The Morehead State University Police Department (MSUPD) has welcomed one of their own back to the force with the swearing in of Officer Mark Cline.
Cline was sworn in April 17, 2019, by Judge William Lane. Cline has worked in law enforcement in Rowan County for more than 30 years. He began his career at the MSUPD as a parking attendant/building security specialist in 1988 before serving as police officer from 1990 to 1993.
He was then employed at the Morehead Police Department as a patrolman for 10 years and retired as a sergeant in 2009. Cline then came out of retirement and was employed by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department for the 10 years prior to his return to MSU.
Morehead State is consistently ranked as one of the safest college campuses in Kentucky and is ranked as one of the top 20 safest schools in the nation by the National Council for Home Safety and Security.
