Morehead named third best city to start a career
Morehead has been named the third best college town in the nation to start a career.
Grand Canyon University compiled the list, and it was published in Business Insider magazine. The list was compiled using data from the U.S. Census, Yelp, Indeed, official government climate reports, and measured factors such as job markets, local culture and infrastructure.
Morehead’s downtown area is walking distance from campus and includes grocery stores, coffee shops, bookstores, boutiques, restaurants and entertainment venues such as the Morehead Conference Center. Cultural opportunities near campus include the Kentucky Folk Art Center, the Rowan County Arts Center and the Morehead Railroad and Historical Museum.
MSU’s campus is located near the Daniel Boone National Forest and offers activities like hiking, camping, kayaking and more for outdoor lovers. Cave Run Lake is a short drive away and offers even more outdoor activities.
