MSU’s RN to BSN program ranked one of the best in Kentucky
Morehead State’s post-licensure RN to BSN program has been ranked as one of the top online RN to BSN programs in Kentucky by RegisteredNursing.org.
RegisteredNursing.org, a nursing advocacy organization where registered nurses provide resources to help future nurses succeed, ranked MSU number two in Kentucky in its 2019 Best Kentucky RN to BSN Programs list. It noted that the program’s curriculum “prepares students to provide patient-centered care, effective leadership and top-notch clinical skills.”

Dr. Lynn Parsons, chair of MSU Department of Nursing, said what makes MSU’s program stand out is a mix of added convenience with sustained quality.
“Morehead State University’s recently revised nursing curriculum, taught in eight-week modules, attracts many practicing registered nurses (RN) to our fully online program,” Parsons said. “Students living in various geographic regions across the Commonwealth of Kentucky are taught by highly experienced nurse educators representing many different specialty fields.”
This recent recognition of the quality of MSU’s nursing programs is one of several that have occurred within the past year. The online RN to BSN program was ranked as one of the best in the country in 2018, and its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program was recently ranked as one of the top BSN programs in Kentucky by RNcareers.org.
