Murphy named to KACE board

Hayley Murphy (14), a career coach with Morehead State University’s Office of Career Services, has been named to the board of the Kentucky Association of Colleges and Employers (KACE). She will serve as communications chair and in this role, she will be responsible for maintaining the KACE website, creating graphics and communicating with all members regarding events. Murphy will also be involved in planning networking and professional development opportunities, including an annual two-day conference in the fall.

Murphy graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in convergent media from MSU and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Communication at the University. She joined the Office of Career Services in 2017 as a career administrative specialist and became a career coach in 2018.

“My convergent media degree allows me to bring a different skill set to this organization and I am excited to put my knowledge of websites and graphic design to use serving the field of career development," she said.

KACE membership is open to both employers and colleges/universities within the state and strives to strengthen the ties between organizations hiring students and the on-campus staff assisting in their career development.
