MSU SBDC helps launch pottery shop in Prestonsburg

A new creative business has opened in Prestonsburg with the assistance of Morehead State’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

You, Me & Pottery is a paint-it-yourself pottery business. Its mission is to provide a creative family environment for their customers to create and design a self-inspired piece of pottery art.

Through the collaboration of the Morehead State University Small Business Development Center, Shaping our Appalachian Region (SOAR), Mountain Association for Community Economic Development (MACED) and the Floyd County Chamber of Commerce, Owner Deana Hunt opened the business June 26. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on July 12.

You, Me & Pottery, located at 202 Irene Street, Suite #104, Prestonsburg, is open to all ages. It offers team building events, birthday parties, organizational events, superhero and princess parties and more.  Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 6 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m.
