MSU Board of Regents calls special meeting

The Morehead State University Board of Regents will convene a special meeting on Monday, Sept. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Colonel A Room of the Louisville Marriott East in Louisville. 

Adam Lambert Hinton was appointed to the board by Governor Bevin and will be sworn in at the meeting. 
 
Hinton, of Flemingsburg, is vice president of Hinton Mills, a small business owner, and director of the Kentucky Welding Institute. He will serve for a term expiring June 30, 2025.
 
As required by law when a new regent is sworn in, the board will also elect a vice chair and secretary and appoint a treasurer.
 
The Morehead State University Board of Regents consists of eight members appointed by the Governor and three additional members, including a teaching faculty representative, a non-teaching employee representative and the student body president. Board members serve six-year terms.
