Morehead State showcases international opportunities through Education Abroad Fair
Morehead State University will host an Education Abroad Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, on the second floor of the Adron Doran University Center.
The fair will have courses offered for Spring 2020 with destinations such as Ireland, Greece, Austria and summer programs throughout Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia. Students will have the ability to explore current programs, as well as obtain information on future programs at the University.
“One of the key features of the fair allows students to meet professors leading our current trips and plan for future trips. We are constantly developing faculty-led courses that will take students to regions as varied as the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico to Taipei, Taiwan,” said Aaron Hirsch, coordinator for MSU’s Education Abroad. “Courses offered range from legal studies to art and music. We are consistently diversifying our program destinations and fields of study.”
Another resource provided to students during the event is access to information on travel and program fees, financial aid and MSU scholarships like the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, as well as scholarships through the Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA) and the Kentucky Institute for International Studies (KIIS).
The Education Abroad Fair also helps to kick off the International Education Week, which runs Nov. 18 through Nov. 22. Hirsch said he expects there will be additional information throughout the week for different programs and country options.
