MSU students earn Adobe certifications during fall semester
Students from Morehead State’s Department of Art and Design (ARDE) and the Convergent Media (CVM) program earned 29 Adobe Certified Associate certifications during the fall semester.
Seventeen students earned certification in visual design using Adobe Photoshop; five students passed the certification exam for graphic design and illustration using Adobe Illustrator; four students earned certification in print and digital publication using Adobe InDesign and three students earned certification as Adobe graphic design specialists. The students who were certified as graphic design specialists passed exams in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
“The certifications earned this semester truly reinforce the fact that MSU’s continued commitment to quality education, state-of-the-art learning environments and career readiness in digital media is working,” said Tony Glover, coordinator of MSU’s Adobe Certification program. “These numbers continue to speak to the outstanding programs and instructors that we have in the Caudill College’s ARDE and CVM areas.”
Glover added students who earn digital media and technology certifications have an increased graduation rate, higher GPAs, increased post-graduate enrollment and improved confidence when entering the workforce.
