Rites of Passage ceremony to be held

Morehead State University’s Office of Student Activities will sponsor the 37th Rites of Passage recognition ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the Adron Doran University Center in Ballrooms B and C.   

The purpose of the ceremony is to recognize and celebrate the academic achievement of minority and international students at MSU. Each student will receive a certificate, a gift and a special Kente stole.   

Students who will be recognized in the Rites of Passage ceremony for Fall 2019 include:   

  • Nasser Alsubaie, Bachelor of Science in Electronic and Computer Engineering and Technology, Morehead  
  • Eulaun Joshua Beasley, Master of Arts in Education, Lexington  
  • Sydnee B. Bradley, Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management, Louisville  
  • Shawntasia Butler, Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education – Moderate and Severe Disabilities, P-12 and P-5 Area, Clearfield  
  • Kiana Gilbert, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Louisville  
  • Allison Hull, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Berea  
  • Rochelle Payne, Master of Arts in Communications, Louisville  
  • Darianne R. Seward, Master of Arts in Sport Management, Columbus, Ohio  
  • K’Sha Rhea Stoner, Bachelor of Arts in Health Promotions, Louisville   
  • Emelyn H. Wells, Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management, Salt Lick
