Faudere wins second place award for Order of Omega poster contest

Cameron FaudereCameron Faudere, a Morehead State senior strategic communication major from Owingsville and vice president of Delta Tau Delta-Zeta Zeta, won second place in a poster contest from the national Order of Omega. Faudere’s accomplishment was featured in “Alpha-Omega: 2018-2019 Order of Omega Year in Review.”

“I was beyond proud when I received news that our very own Cameron Faudere had won second place in the 2019 poster contest out of all the national entries,” said Tessa Collins, a senior history major at MSU and president of the Gamma Omega Chapter of the Order of Omega. “Cameron is extremely talented at graphic design and other aspects of public relations. He shows his dedication to the Greek community by being a leader in both his fraternity and other Greek organizations, like the Order of Omega.”

In addition to his involvement in Delta Tau Delta, Faudere is a congress member of the Student Government Association (SGA), as well as a member of both the Student Alumni Ambassadors and Lambda Pi Eta, MSU’s communications honors society. He also works as the public relations coordinator for the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Faudere won the title of “Greek New Member of the Year” as a freshman, “Greek Man of the Year” as a sophomore and was crowned the 2018 Homecoming King alongside Collins, who was named that year’s Homecoming Queen.

The Order of Omega is a national leadership honor society for Greek student organizations. Membership in the OOO is limited to the top three percent of fraternity and sorority juniors and seniors on campus. Membership is based on excellence in academics, demonstration of strong character, leadership and service in four areas: service to the student’s fraternity or sorority, service to the Greek community outside of the student’s fraternity or sorority, service to the student’s campus community and service to the student’s surrounding community.
