Hayley MurphyMorehead State University’s Hayley Murphy (14), career coach in MSU’s Office of Career Services, was elected president-elect at the Kentucky Association of Colleges and Employers (KACE) conference held this past fall in Frankfort. Murphy previously served on the KACE board as communications chair and led an overhaul of the organization’s website.

“This is only my second year of being involved with KACE, so I wasn’t expecting to leave the conference with a new role,” Murphy said. “I am excited to be taking on this position and look forward to playing a major role in planning next year’s conference.”

KACE is a state association with membership from career services, experiential education and co-op staff from universities, colleges and technical institutions, as well as employers of college students/graduates. The mission of KACE is to bring together students, educators and employers with interest in the formal integration of a student’s academic study with work experience and the student’s ultimate career goals.

Murphy was hired by MSU’s Office of Career Services in 2017 as an administrative specialist and was promoted to career coach in 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree in convergent media from MSU and will complete a Master of Arts in Communication in May 2020.
