Clarinet Day scheduled for March 7

Morehead State University's Department of Music, Theatre and Dance will host its 9th Annual MSU Clarinet Day, Saturday, March 7, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Baird Music Hall.  

Activities planned for the event include:  
  • Masterclasses for high school, college, and middle school clarinetists.  
  • Guest artist recital.  
  • Yoga for musicians clinic.
  • Play in MSU's Clarinet Honor Choir.   
  • Try out and purchase instruments and accessories.  
This year's guest artist will be Dr. Elizabeth Crawford, professor of music performance at Ball State University, where she teaches clarinet, pedagogy and literature. She has performed recitals and given master classes throughout the world, most notably in Poland, New Zealand and South Africa. An active member of the International Clarinet Association, she served as the organization's advertising manager from 2016 to 2018. She has also been an active contributor to the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors.
