Morehead State hosts Admitted Student Day

Morehead State University invites incoming students to Admitted Student Day on Monday, Feb. 17. This event will offer the opportunity to meet MSU students, staff and faculty, finalize financial aid and take a tour of the campus.

The purpose of the Admitted Student Day event is for admitted students to tour the campus, ask questions and meet other high school seniors who are also considering attending MSU.

“Families will hear success stories about our graduates and statistics that demonstrate the academic quality and personal attention offered at MSU,” said Holly Pollock, director of undergraduate admissions. “Our goal is to make it convenient to get answers to questions about starting college by bringing staff from admissions, financial aid, housing and many more services – together in one place.”

On Admitted Student Day you may:

  • Get a closer look at your academic program of choice.
  • Get information on our residence life, student groups, career services and other outside the classroom opportunities.
  • Tour campus.
  • Speak directly with a financial aid counselor who can provide you with information about your aid, scholarships, and anticipated costs and payment plan options.
  • Eat lunch in our new dining facilities.
  • Discuss the next steps in the enrollment process.

Admitted Student Day is not the Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR) program, which is for students who are admitted and confirmed for attendance this fall. For undecided college students, Admitted Student Day provides opportunities to ask questions and to get acquainted with MSU’s campus. For those admitted students who have made a commitment to MSU for the fall, the next step is to pay the enrollment deposit, register for SOAR and apply for campus housing.
