KCTM to host two spring concerts
Morehead State’s Kentucky Center for Traditional Music (KCTM) will hold two concerts this spring to showcase the talent of its students.
The Sounds of Our Heritage Spring Concert will be held Tuesday, March 10, at 7 p.m. at the Rowan County Arts Center. The semester finale concert will be held Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. at the Morehead Conference Center.
Approximately 30 students will perform a selection of traditional music, including bluegrass, old-time, folk and more.
“This semester, we have seven bands,” said Nathan Kiser, KCTM operations manager. “These shows are a way for each class to present what they are learning for the enjoyment of a live audience.”
Both shows are free and open to the public.
