“The faculty and students in the legal studies program at Morehead State University are honored to be recognized among the top 10 legal studies programs in the nation by Great Value Colleges. Our experienced faculty, who are all licensed attorneys, combine legal theory and practice to help prepare students for law school or an immediate career as a paralegal or legal assistant,” said L. Joe Dunman, legal studies program coordinator and assistant professor of legal studies. “Our diverse and challenging curriculum, which includes a required legal internship to help students gain real-life experience, is affordable and a great investment, two factors considered heavily by Great Value Colleges. We consider it quite an achievement to be ranked among the top 10 programs in the country along with much larger universities such as the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the University of Central Florida and the University of California-Berkeley.”
Great Value Colleges is a website to help students and families get the best possible education for the money through high-quality, researched-based articles and rankings based on publicly available information from reputable third-party sources.
The rankings are determined by using data collected from College Navigator regarding tuition, as well as program information gleaned directly from each institution’s official website. For more sizeable rankings, the methodology used to determine placement is based primarily on tuition but also considers things like program flexibility, customization within the degree program both in content and format, and an overall “wow” factor which highlights each program’s unique offerings and sets it apart from the pack. For programs that have limited online availability, the website ranks institutions based solely on tuition costs.
Great Value Colleges compiles these rankings to contribute to the academic mission of higher learning institutions. It provides pertinent, unbiased information for prospective students and working professionals to aid them in making more informed decisions as they seek to further their education.
MSU’s legal studies program was also ranked 12th out of the top 25 legal studies programs by TheBestSchools.org.
