MSU students once again receive Order of Omega scholarships

This year, the Order of Omega, a national leadership honor society for Greek student organizations, is rewarding scholarships to three Morehead State University students.

Emily Cook, senior biomedical sciences major from Morehead, received the 2019 Parker F. Enright Scholarship worth $750. Both Porsche Maness, a senior from Means, and Kaitlin Eastham, a senior from Greenup, received the 2019 Patrick W. Halloran Scholarship worth $500. These scholarships are nationally recognized and chosen from every Order or Omega Chapter in the country. All three students are members of both Order of Omega and Kappa Delta.

According to Tessa Collins, a senior from Morehead, president of the Gamma Omega Chapter of Order of Omega at MSU and a former Order of Omega scholarship recipient, this is the second year in a row that three MSU students received three Order of Omega scholarships.

“Inside Kappa Delta and Order of Omega, these three women are amazing leaders and role models, the same goes to show with their work in their academics,” Collins said. “Order of Omega signifies the top 3% of Greek Life and these three women exemplify what it means to be the top 3% academically and socially. I am so proud of these women and their accomplishments. Even though we are all wrapping up our time as undergraduate students, these three continue to go above and beyond for Greek Life.”
