TRIO students win first place in competition

Students from Morehead State's TRiO Educational Talent Search (ETS) programs competed during Kentucky TRiO Day Saturday, Feb. 29, at Kentucky State University.   

ETS Academic Team Members secured a first-place victory in the High-Q (quick recall) competition. The team was comprised of five students:   
  • Gabbi Hill and Nicholas Frizzell, both from Bath County High School.  
  • Sam Sherrard from East Carter County High School.
  • Garrett Jenkins from West Carter County High School.
  • Matthew Cooper from Lewis County High School.   
MSU's ETS Academic Team will now move on to compete at the Southeastern Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (SAEOPP) Regional Student Initiatives Competitions, scheduled to occur April 25, 2020, in Atlanta, Georgia.
