College of Business and Technology names academic award recipients

Morehead State’s Elmer R. Smith College of Business and Technology is honoring student achievement by announcing the winners of its annual academic awards. One graduating senior student from each major in the School of Business Administration and the School of Engineering and Computer Science is recognized each school year for outstanding academic achievement.   

Honorees from the School of Business Administration are:  
  • Kassidy M. Childers from Pikeville, outstanding accounting student.  
  • Cory P. Conway from Noblesville, Indiana, outstanding sport management student.
  • Raven E. Little from West Liberty, outstanding small business management and entrepreneurship student.
  • Olivia L. Lohmeier from Cincinnati, Ohio, outstanding computer information systems student.  
  • Porsche D. Maness from Means, outstanding general business student.
  • Karly G. Potts from Ephrata, Pennsylvania, outstanding management student.
  • Samantha E. Webb from Morehead, outstanding finance student.  
  • Dolly Mahayla West from Paris, outstanding marketing student.   

Graduate student award winners were:  
  • David Halcomb from Lexington, outstanding Master of Business Administration graduate.  
  • Alexis R. Smith from Williamsport, Indiana, outstanding Master of Arts in sport management graduate.   

Honorees from the School of Engineering and Computer Science are:  
  • Nasser M. Alkhaldi, a resident of Morehead, outstanding mechanical and manufacturing engineering technology student.
  • Brenton C. Anderson from Morehead, outstanding electronics and computer engineering technology student.
  • Montana B. Cheek from West Liberty, outstanding engineering management student.
  • Craigory V. Coppola from Danville, outstanding computer science student.  
  • Jesse J. Holbrook from Olive Hill, outstanding construction management and civil engineering technology student.
  • Alberta L. Manning from Ashland, outstanding technology management student.  
  • Eddie E. Shelton from Hi Hat, outstanding career and technical education student.
  • Steven M. Todd from Mount Sterling, outstanding engineering and technology management undergraduate researcher and best fall 2019 senior thesis.  

Graduate Student Honorees are:  
  • Michael R. Chambers from Lexington, outstanding Master of Science in Career and Technical Education graduate student.  
  • Richards A. Phillips from Morehead, outstanding Master of Science in Engineering and Technology Management graduate student.
