MSU Student Government Association announces new officers

Morehead State University’s Student Government Association (SGA) has announced the names of the newly elected SGA Executive Board for the 2020-21 academic year.  

“SGA Executive Officers play a critical role in student advocacy on campus and I am always excited to begin a new term with new officers,” said Shannon Colvin, associate director of student activities.  

SGA Executive Officers for 2020-21 are:   

President: Emily Wiley   

Wiley is an agriculture business major from London, Kentucky. She previously served as a freshman senator and vice president of administration on the SGA Executive Board. She was named the 2018-19 Emerging Leader and Senator of the Year. She also serves as a resident advisor (RA) and is on the Panhellenic Judicial Board. Wiley is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Delta Tau Alpha and Student Alumni Ambassadors.  

Executive Vice President: Bryce Ward   

Ward is an accounting major from Hurricane, West Virginia. He has previously served as an SGA senator for 2019-20. He is a member of the MSU Rifle Team and is involved in the Baptist Campus Ministry.  

Vice President of Administration: Gaige Webb  

Webb is a biomedical science major from Morehead. He currently holds the position of vice president of communication for Sigma Phi Epsilon and is a member of the Baptist Campus Ministry. Webb also serves as a Greek Week delegate and Interfraternity Council (IFC) alternate delegate.  

Vice President of Finance: Ethan Wells   

Wells is a biomedical science major from Pikeville, Kentucky. He has previously served as an SGA senator and held the position of chief of staff for 2019-20. He serves as an RA and is a member of Student Alumni Ambassadors. Wells also served as a member of the Midnight in the Mountains committee.  

Vice President of Campus Involvement: Kassidy Clatworthy   

Clatworthy is a political science major from McDowell, Kentucky. She has served as an SGA senator as a freshmen representative and is a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.  

Vice President of Public Relations: Emma Li Mathews  

Mathews is a biomedical science major from Morehead. She has served as an SGA senator and is returning to her previous role as vice president of public relations for 2020-21. She is involved in Kappa Delta Sorority.
