Soaring from home: MSU SOAR sessions moved online
In recognition of these challenging times and to keep all our future Eagles safe, MSU is changing all on-campus Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) sessions to an online format.
MSU held its first two online SOAR sessions last week.
“Our first online SOAR sessions were very successful,” said Russ Mast, vice president for student affairs. “We were able assist students with several questions related to class schedules, financial aid, meal plans, parking permits and living on campus. MSU will continue to be flexible and work to accommodate student needs during these unusual times. We look forward to having our new students join the Eagle family in the fall.”

MSU is demonstrating its Commitment to the Commonwealth through several initiatives designed to help students and families during these unprecedented times. We are proud to announce that we are freezing tuition and fees at this year’s rates for the upcoming academic year.

- Pre-recorded videos to watch the week of the scheduled online SOAR session.
- A virtual campus tour.
- Live Q & A on Facebook Live.
- A brief quiz on content from the videos.
Future online SOAR sessions will take place during the following weeks:
- May 18-22, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. May 19 or 20.
- June 1-5, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. June 4 or 5.
- June 22-26, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. June 23.
- Wednesday, July 8, MSU at Mt. Sterling students only, more details to follow.
- July 13-17, attend Facebook Live at 1 p.m. July 13 or 14.
