John and Peggy Osborne Scholarship established

John and Peggy Osborne PictureThe Morehead State University Foundation has announced the establishment of the John and Peggy Osborne Scholarship Endowment, a fund to benefit Morehead State University students.

This scholarship was created by John and Peggy (79) Osborne. Peggy completed her MBA at MSU in 1979. Both John and Peggy became members of the Elmer R. Smith College of Business and Technology faculty, with John joining MSU in 1977 and Peggy becoming an MSU faculty member in 1979. Both retired after 27 and 34 years of service, respectively.

“Morehead State University was such a big part of our lives, we feel like this scholarship is a small way we can continue to support the students and the University,” Peggy said. “We love MSU.”

As faculty, the couple recognized the barriers faced by many students in completing their degree. This fund will be used to assist students who may not be eligible to receive other aid. Recipients shall be rising juniors or seniors and pursuing a degree in the School of Business Administration.

Students interested in applying to this scholarship, along with other privately funded scholarships managed by the MSU Foundation, should visit the online scholarship application at moreheadstate.awardspring.com.
