Joyce and Roy Spaulding Scholarship established

The Morehead State University Foundation has announced the establishment of the Joyce and Roy Spaulding Scholarship for the College of Education, a fund to benefit Morehead State University students.        

The scholarship endowment was created at the direction of the estate of Joyce (60) and Roy (60) Spaulding. Following the completion of their education at MSU, both Joyce and Roy enjoyed long careers as teachers where they drew joy from teaching those eager to learn.    

Recipients of the annual scholarship must be full-time undergraduate students majoring in a program within the Ernst and Sara Lane Volgenau College of Education. The scholarship value is $8,000 annually ($4,000 per semester) and is renewable for one additional year if a 2.8 GPA and full-time status are maintained. A new recipient will be selected every other year, pending the current year recipient maintains eligibility.
