Board of Regents welcomes new member, elects officers
Morehead State’s Board of Regents held a special called meeting Thursday, Sept. 24, at 9 a.m. via WebEx teleconference.
The board passed a resolution of commendation for former regent and board chair Kathy Walker, and the newest regent, Arthur E. Walker III, was sworn in at the meeting.
The Board of Regents elected Eric Howard as chair and Sanford Holbrook as vice chair. Mary Fister-Tucker was appointed as treasurer, and Jacqueline Graves was elected secretary. Officers of the board are elected to a one-year term.
In other action, the board voted to designate MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan as the University’s fiscal officer and to authorize debt restructuring of certain outstanding bonds and leases. They also heard an update on the 2020-21 University health insurance plan.
The board will hold a special called meeting and work session Friday, Oct. 16. The audit committee will also meet on that date.
